UWA ELITE POWER RANKINGS (AUG 2017)

SINGLES RANKINGS

#1 - ARCHADIA (LAST MONTH: #1)
UWA Elite Champion

For the third time, Archadia is UWA Elite Champion. Say what you will about the champion, but Archadia defeated Brandon the Bull, Drake Chambers and Kyle the Beast in the span of 8 days to win and retain that title - the last match coming in an epic 35-minute Iron Man affair that went to sudden death. With his victory, Archadia ties the record held by Sean McNelis of 3 UWA Elite Championship reigns. His next opponent is King Tek on September 2nd.

#2 - KING TEK (LAST MONTH: #3)
2017 Mike Davis Memorial Tournament Winner

How does a man who loses his championship gain a spot in this month's power rankings? King Tek uttered the words "I Quit" to lose the iChampionship to Nicholas Kaye, but only to spare a fan from a savage steel chair attack. Seven days later, the Fighting King had vanquished 7 competitors to win the 2017 Mike Davis Memorial Crossroads Tournament - and a shot at Archadia's title.

#3 - BOWES (LAST MONTH: #2)
UWA Elite Iron Man Champion

Many claim that Everett Cross and Jordan Oliver are part of the future of UWA Elite. If that is truly the case, then Bowes destroyed the future in just over a week. The Wretched's trademark Eulogy Piledriver is an image that will scar the thoughts of UWA Elite fans - and Cross and Oliver - for years to come. It remains to be seen if anyone - or anything - can stop Bowes.

#4 - NICHOLAS KAYE (LAST MONTH: #5)
UWA Elite iChampion

It's official: No one has ever won a championship in UWA Elite in a more sickening, nefarious fashion than Nicholas Kaye. Kaye won the iChampionship from King Tek after threatening a 9-year-old fan with a steel chair, forcing Tek to quit. Make no mistake - Nicholas Kaye has no misgivings about the way he won his first championship with the company. All he is concerned with is victory.

#5 - KYLE "THE BEAST" WINANT  (LAST MONTH: #6)

Sometimes, KTB simply has to be witnessed to be believed. Kyle earned a #1 contendership to the UWA Elite Championship at iWrestle, sending Sean "Damage" McNelis crashing through a table. Then, Kyle challenged Archadia to a 30-minute Iron Man Match at Crossroads. The 35-minute epic that followed was one of the most historic matches in UWA Elite history. It took the champion 35 minutes to earn a fall on KTB after a monstrous effort.

#6 - BRANDON THE BULL (LAST MONTH: #1)

One chapter closes and another seemingly begins for Brandon the Bull. BTB lost his UWA Elite Championship after a failed Golden Ticket cash-in from Drake Chambers (Archadia pinned Drake to win the title). Then, Brandon was eliminated in the Crossroads finals thanks to a steel chair assault from Drake. Will the Bull find retribution on September 2nd?

#7 - BRANDON KIRK (LAST MONTH: #NR)

August 2017 was an emotional roller coaster for Brandon Kirk. First, his scheduled opponent for iWrestle was suspended. Then, he came to the aid of Robbie Roller in a losing effort. Then, he bucked all conventional wisdom and was the runner-up in the Crossroads Tournament, losing at the very end via a cannonball through a steel chair. Will Kirk find stability at Combat Cup?

#8 - MAGIC (LAST MONTH: NR)

Crossroads at the Middlesex County Fair was indeed a bit of "magic" for the 35-year veteran, as Magic claimed a #1 contendership to the iChampionship. September 2nd is his self-imposed deadline to win a championship in UWA Elite (his 35th wrestling anniversary). So Nicholas Kaye vs. Magic is practically a "title vs. career" match. Will Magic have his moment, or an ultimate defeat?

#9 - DRAKE CHAMBERS (LAST MONTH: #8)

Full disclosure: I have no idea how to rate the month of August for Drake Chambers. He was a Crossroads finalist and won a fan vote at iWrestle. But he also lost a #1 contendership AND his Golden Ticket briefcase in the span of two hours. Then, in inexplicable fashion, he bashed Brandon the Bull with a steel chair, blaming him for his Golden Ticket and Crossroads losses. Where in the world does the Dragonborn go from here?

#10 - JEREMIAH (LAST MONTH: #9)

None of us want to like it or even consider it - but is Jeremiah really the "better brother"? First, he defeated Jon Rome in humiliating fashion at iWrestle, forcing their own mother to throw in the towel on Jon's behalf. Then, Jeremiah earned a spot in the Crossroads semi-finals - once again, beating his brother in the process. Is the "Lost Boy" starting to find his way? ?

TAG TEAM RANKINGS

#1 - THE BROTEIN PACK (LAST MONTH: #1)
UWA Elite Tag Team Champions

The BROtein Pack defeated Eddie Thomas & Myke Quest at iWrestle, then faced undoubtedly their most brutal challenge to date in the form of the Designated Hitters in a Street Fight at Crossroads. Despite all this, C-Way and TJ managed to navigate treacherous waters to retain their Tag Team Championships - guaranteeing a title reign of over one year. Will the BROtein Pack successfully defend their 2016 Combat Cup on September 2nd?

#2 - THE DESIGNATED HITTERS (LAST MONTH: #4)

Love them or hate them, DH has proven to be the team most capable of defeating the BROtein Pack in 2017 - thus far, they are the only team to hold a victory over the champions this season. Some would argue a terrible bloody cut to Hedges' head (that required 7 staples) was the reason they lost their tag title match at Crossroads. Will DH find redemption in the Combat Cup?

#3 - TEAM THOMAS (LAST MONTH: #3)

Quest and Eddie Thomas, distracted by their nemesis Cypress, came up on the losing end of a tag title match at iWrestle. Miles Thomas returned from suspension and joined his brother Eddie to advance in the opening round of the 2017 Combat Cup tournament. Will the re-formed Team Thomas continue to bend the rules en route to a Combat Cup victory September 2nd?

#4 - THE DESTINED ONES (LAST MONTH: #5)

The Destined Ones ran into a freight train at Gold Rush, as Domonic Truax finally unleashed his brutal nature on the young, exciting duo. The bad news is D1 lost. The good news? Truax looks headed for singles action, so Jordan and Christian can put him in their rear view mirror (for now). With the Tag Team Combat Cup on the horizon, the Destined Ones look to capitalize on a fresh start and a new opportunity at greatness.
